General
Yes — we answer calls around the clock, every day of the year, across Chichester, Bognor Regis, Havant, Portsmouth, Littlehampton, Arundel, Crawley, Worthing, Hastings and the M23 corridor.
Our average response is around 30 minutes, though it varies by area — see each area page for a realistic estimate, or just call and we'll confirm straight away.
Yes, fully insured for recovery and transport of your vehicle.
Yes — call and let us know the make and model so we send the right vehicle for a safe pickup.
Yes — for planned transport (an MOT failure, moving a car to a dealership, etc.) just call ahead and we'll arrange a convenient time.
Recovery & Breakdown
Tell us the symptoms when you call — flat battery, turns over but won't fire, dashboard warning lights — and we'll often be able to get you moving at the roadside without a full recovery.
Yes. If you've been in a collision, get everyone to safety first and call 999 if anyone's hurt or the vehicle is blocking a live lane — then call us and we'll recover the vehicle once it's safe to do so.
Yes — our drivers are trained on EV-safe handling and we recover electric and hybrid vehicles on a flatbed rather than towing on wheels.
Your safety comes first — see our M23 breakdown safety guide for what to do before you call. We cover Junctions 7–11 as standard, dispatched from our Selsey base.
Yes — if it's safe to do at the roadside and you've got a usable spare, we can help fit it. Otherwise we'll recover you to the nearest garage or tyre fitter.
Often, yes — call us and we'll advise on the spot. For lost or damaged keys we may need to recover the vehicle to a garage or locksmith instead.
It depends on the van's size and how far it needs to go — we'll always confirm the price on the phone before we dispatch, the same as our car recovery pricing.
No — most of our van recovery calls are one-off, from sole traders and tradespeople, not fleet accounts. Just call, the same as you would for a car.
Yes — we're careful loading a van that's still carrying a load, not just winching it on regardless. Let us know if it's heavily loaded so we send the right vehicle.
Not on its wheels, no — and neither should anyone else. Towing an EV conventionally can damage the motor or drivetrain, which is exactly why every EV or hybrid we recover goes on a flatbed instead.
Breakdown assistance is a roadside fix — a jump start, a tyre change — that gets you moving again without loading the car. Vehicle recovery means it can't be fixed at the roadside and needs transporting, on a flatbed or towed, to a garage, home, or wherever you need it.
Yes — driveways, multi-storey car parks, private land, wherever it's parked. We just need safe, legal access to load it.
Yes, that's most of what this service is for — flatbed recovery doesn't need the engine to run or the wheels to turn freely.
Wherever you need it — your usual garage, a dealership, home, or an insurer's approved repairer. Just tell us the address when you call.
Local recovery across our whole coverage area as standard; longer-distance transport further afield is available too — ask when you call and we'll confirm a price.
Flat batteries (jump start), empty fuel tanks (we carry petrol and diesel), flat tyres (if you've got a usable spare), and basic fault-finding for a car that won't start. If it needs more than that, we'll recover you instead.
Often, yes — call us and we'll talk through what's happened. For a straightforward lockout we can frequently help at the roadside; for lost or badly damaged keys we may need to recover the car to a garage or locksmith instead.
Just call and describe what's happening — does it turn over, are the dashboard lights on, any recent warning signs. That's usually enough for us to guess the likely cause and send a driver equipped for it.
Yes — tell us which fuel your car takes when you call, and we'll bring enough to get you to the nearest station.
We'll recover you there and then — no separate call-out, no waiting for a second vehicle. The driver who attends can usually do both jobs.
No — flatbed recovery is the manufacturer-recommended method precisely because it avoids that risk. It's towing on the wheels that can cause damage, not flatbed transport.
Tell us when you call — we can often recover you straight to the nearest suitable charge point instead of just home, so you're not stuck again shortly after.
Yes — hybrids get the same careful, flatbed-first approach as full electric vehicles.
That's often a 12V auxiliary battery issue rather than the main traction battery — tell us the symptoms and we'll advise, but it usually still means flatbed recovery rather than a roadside jump start.
Yes — if you're likely to need us more than occasionally, ask about setting up a business account so you're not starting from scratch each time.
Yes — we handle loaded-vehicle recovery carefully, securing cargo or passengers' belongings rather than just winching the vehicle on regardless.
Vans, minibuses and light commercials up to 3.5 tonnes — tell us the make and model when you call and we'll confirm we're the right fit.
Yes — scheduled depot-to-depot and multi-drop transport is available alongside emergency recovery, useful if you're relocating fleet vehicles or moving one for inspection.
Yes — this is a common call for us. We'll transport it to wherever it needs to go for repair or a retest.
Van Recovery is aimed at sole traders and private van owners — no account or paperwork needed beforehand. Commercial Vehicle Recovery covers the same vehicles but for businesses wanting a standing account or fleet arrangement. Either way, just call — we'll sort out the right approach.
Yes — motorbikes are always recovered on a flatbed with wheel chocks and motorcycle-specific straps, never towed, which can damage the forks and steering.
Yes — we'll recover a hired van the same as any other. It's worth telling the hire company too, but that's a separate call to us getting you moving.
Yes — we recover motorbikes after collisions as well as breakdowns, with the same careful handling. If the bike is damaged, we take extra care loading it so we don't make things worse.
Everything from small scooters and commuter bikes up to full-size tourers and larger machines — let us know the make and model when you call so we bring the right kit.
Ideally yes, so we can confirm where you'd like it taken, but if that's not possible, call ahead and we'll agree the details over the phone.
Pricing
It depends on distance, vehicle type and time of day — call for a straight, upfront quote before you commit to anything.
We'll always confirm the full price on the phone before dispatching, so there are no surprises when we arrive.
We operate 24/7 — call and we'll confirm the exact price for your situation upfront, whatever time it is.
Yes — call to discuss a fleet or business account if you're likely to need us regularly.
Coverage & Response
Chichester, Bognor Regis, Havant, Portsmouth, Littlehampton and Arundel as standard, plus Crawley, Worthing, Hastings and the M23 between Junctions 7 and 11 further afield — plus the towns in between. Don't see your area listed? Call and we'll confirm.
We're based in Selsey, on the Manhood Peninsula on the West Sussex coast near Chichester.
Junctions 7–11 are our standard patch, though it's one of our longer dispatches from our Selsey base — typically 60–90 minutes depending on the junction. Further along the M23 or onto the A23 is available on request, just call and we'll confirm.
Probably — our listed areas are where we're fastest, but we cover plenty of towns in between too. Call and we'll confirm straight away.
Usually 60–75 minutes — Crawley and Gatwick are around 48 miles from our Selsey base via the A29 and A24, one of our longer jobs. Traffic around Gatwick's drop-off and pick-up areas can back up at short notice, especially around flight delays, so we build in a realistic ETA rather than promise a local-fast response.
Yes — Worthing is around 25 miles from our Selsey base via the A27, usually 35–45 minutes. The Offington and Grove Lodge roundabouts are a known pinch point, so we factor that into your ETA.
Yes, though it's the furthest of our regular towns — around 78 miles from our Selsey base via the A27 and A21, usually 100–120 minutes. The Flimwell and Robertsbridge stretch is single-carriageway and slows at peak times, so we're upfront that this is our longest response rather than overpromise.
Chichester is one of our closest towns to base — most jobs are with you in 20–25 minutes, including access into the pedestrianised city centre and around the Cathedral.
Yes — Bognor Regis is just along the coast from our Selsey base, so it's one of our fastest response areas, including the seafront, pier and Butlin's.
Yes, Havant is a regular part of our coverage even though it's just over the Hampshire border — usually a 25–30 minute response from our Selsey base via the A27.
Portsmouth is one of our regular coverage areas, roughly 30–40 minutes from our Selsey base via the A27 and A3 — including the Historic Dockyard and Portsea Island.
Yes — Littlehampton is a regular, predictable job for us, usually 25–35 minutes from our Selsey base via the A259.
Yes, including the narrow streets around Arundel Castle — we know to bring the right size vehicle. Typical response is 25–35 minutes from our Selsey base.
